IFP Energies nouvelles and the CEA launch the international, scientific journal Science and Technology for Energy Transition (STET)
As the longstanding publishing partner of IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), we are very pleased to share the news of the launch of Science and Technology for Energy Transition (STET) by IFPEN and the CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission).
Science and Technology for Energy Transition (STET) is the new name for Oil & Gas Science and Technology (OGST). The name reflects a new focus on energy transition set out in STET’s Aims & Scope. STET is supported by both IFPEN and the CEA and remains a diamond open access journal: free for readers and authors.
The official press release announced the new journal: “Oil & Gas Science and Technology (OGST), an academic journal supported by IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN), is adopting a new identity and becoming Science and Technology for Energy Transition (STET). It is intended to become a genuine forum for the exchange and sharing of scientific results around efficient and sustainable energy transition in response to climate change. To support this development, IFPEN is joining forces with CEA, a major player in French energy research.”

STET is led by Editors-in-Chief Sylvain Nizou, CEA and Benoît Noetinger, IFPEN. The first article published in STET is “Valuing CO2 in the development of polymer materials” by Sylvain Caillol et al. in which the authors write “Reducing the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is a major challenge for humanity as well as for living species on Earth.” To stay up to date with future articles, visit the STET website to sign up for free e-mail alerts. The instructions for authors are also available on the website.
