A new submission system for a new era: NESTOR key information

We are pleased to announce that Science and Technology for Energy Transition (STET) will use NESTOR (New Editorial System Tool for Research)—a platform designed and developed by EDP Sciences.

STET is migrating to the new system from MMS, which reliably supported the journal under its former name Oil & Gas Science and Technology (OGST) for many years. This migration comes at an opportune time, when the journal is already in transition, looking towards the future requirements of scientific publishing.

Science and Technology for Energy Transition (STET) is an international scientific journal supported by IFPEN (IFP Energies nouvelles) and CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission), both major French research and technology organizations in energy. The journal is intended to be a forum for exchanging and sharing scientific results focusing on effective and sustainable energy transition in response to climate change. The journal changed name and Aims & Scope in 2022 to reflect this new focus and, with it, a new submission system that could cater to the needs of the journal and its community was required.

NESTOR offers an enhanced user experience, with advanced features, improved security, and an intuitive user interface tailored for authors, referees, and editors. This bespoke functionality, built with EDP’s own research community in mind, aims to improve the user experience from submission to publication.

The new, more streamlined, system will also improve efficiency and quality of the peer review process, helping to further build the journal’s reputation as a go-to reference in the sustainable energy discipline.
